12 SP rank officers transferred

12 Superintendent of Police (SP) rank officers have been transferred and posted to various places in the country.

This information was given in a notification signed by Nasreen Sultana, Deputy Secretary of Police-1 Branch of the Ministry of Home Affairs, on Thursday.

According to the notification, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md. Abu Saim has been transferred as SP of Panchagarh. The current SP of Panchagarh Md. Mizanur Rahman has been attached to the Police Headquarters (Dhaka). DMP DC Monirul Islam has been attached as SP of Moulvibazar and Moulvibazar SP Md. Riazul Islam has been attached to the Police Headquarters.

DC N M Nasiruddin of the DMP's Media and Public Relations Department has been transferred as SP of Noakhali. Noakhali SP T M Mosharraf Hossain has been transferred as SP of CID. In addition, DMP DC Mia Mohammad Ashish Bin Hasan has been transferred as SP of Jhenaidah and Jhenaidah SP Md. Mahfuz Afzal has been transferred as SP of APBn.

The notification further informed that CID Special SP Pratyush Kumar Majumder has been given the responsibility of SP of Feni. Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) DC Mohammad Mahbub Alam Khan has been attached to the police headquarters.

In addition, Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) SP Md. Rajib Farhan and Tourist Police SP Nihad Adnan Taiyan have been attached to the office of the Range Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Rangpur.

The notification states that this order, issued in the public interest, will be implemented immediately.
