12kg LPG cylinder price hiked by tk 212

The price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in the private sector has been increased again in the country's market. This is the second price increase in a month. The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has announced the new price, which has come into effect from 6pm today (April 19).

The BERC announcement said that the price of LPG per kg has been increased by Tk 17.62 at the consumer level. As a result, the price of a widely used 12 kg LPG cylinder has been increased from Tk 1,728 to Tk 1,940. That is, the consumer will have to pay Tk 212 more per cylinder than before.

Earlier, the price of LPG per kg was increased by Tk 32.30 at the beginning of this month. The two price increases in a month have created additional pressure on the general consumers.
