13 including ex-IGP Mamun appear before tribunal
In four separate cases related to the mass killings during the anti-discrimination student movement, former IGP Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun, former army officer Ziaul Ahsan, and 11 others have been brought before the International Crimes Tribunal.
They were brought from jail to the tribunal on Monday (April 28).
The individuals presented at the tribunal include: former IGP Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun, former Director General of the National Telecommunication Monitoring Center (NTMC) Major General (Retd) Ziaul Ahsan, dismissed Additional Police Superintendent of Dhaka Abdullahil Kafi, former Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Gulshan Police Station Mohammad Mazharul Haque, former Inspector of Dhaka North DB Mohammad Arafat Hossain, Assistant Police Superintendent Rajon Kumar Saha, former Deputy Commissioner (DC) of DMP Mirpur Division Jasim Uddin Mollah, former Additional Superintendent (Savar Circle) of Dhaka District Police Mohammad Shahidul Islam, former Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Jatrabari Police Station Abul Hasan, former Sub-Inspector Mohammad Abdul Malek, former Assistant Sub-Inspector Chanchal Chandra Saha, former Constable Mohammad Mukul Hossain, and Robiul Alam.
