133 Ordinances presented of 13th parliament, see the list

On the first day of the 13th Jatiya Sangsad’s inaugural session, a total of 133 ordinances were presented in parliament by Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Md. Asaduzzaman, under Article 93(2) of the Constitution. The session was presided over by Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmed held on Thursday (12 March).

These ordinances had been issued previously by the President during the parliamentary recess to address urgent state needs and reforms. Constitutionally, they must be presented to the newly formed parliament at its first session.

The list includes ordinances covering banking, local government, energy, security forces, human rights, cyber security, education, fisheries, civil service regulations, and more. Notable ordinances include the Bangladesh Bank (Amendment) Ordinance 2024, the International Crimes (Tribunals) Amendment Ordinances 2024–2026, cyber security ordinances, and amendments to the Public Procurement and Excise & Taxation laws.

Apart from ordinance presentation, the first session also included the election of the Speaker and Deputy Speaker, nomination of the presidium, and placement of condolence motions.

The session concluded with Public Administration State Minister Md. Abdul Bari presenting the Bangladesh Public Service Commission’s 2024 annual report, followed by the President’s address.
