15 senior officials of PM's Office leave for China

Fifteen senior officials of the Prime Minister's (PM) Office have left for Kunming, Yunnan Province, China, to participate in a special training program. The delegation left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on a China Air flight on Tuesday afternoon (June 2).

The program, organized in collaboration with the Chinese government and the country's embassy, ​​will be held in Kunming. Atiqur Rahman Rumon, a member of the delegation and Additional Press Secretary to the Prime Minister, said the training will continue until June 8.

The delegation includes Mohammad Zakaria, Director General of the NGO Affairs Bureau of the Prime Minister's Office, Additional Press Secretary Atiqur Rahman Rumon, Director General of the Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA) Julia Moin, PMO Director (Innovation and Implementation) Monirul Islam Patwari, Deputy Secretary Jasmine Akhtar, PM's Private Secretary-1 Mohammad Mamun Shibli, Private Secretary-2 Mehedul Islam, Protocol Officer-1 Md. Ujjal Hossain, Assignment Officer-2 S. M. Parvez, Research Officer Abdus Sattar Patwari, Advisor Ismail Zabihullah's Private Secretary Tariq Hasan, Mohammad Abdul Jabbar, Md. Mahbubur Rahman, Anwar ul Halim and Mohammad Nasir Uddin Sarwar, among others.

At a reception held in Dhaka before the start of the training, Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen said that high-level communication and cooperation between the two countries have been further strengthened in recent times on Monday (June 1).

The ambassador expressed hope that the participating officials will be able to apply the knowledge gained from China's development and modernization experience to Bangladesh's development activities after the training.
