Ahead of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman’s return to Bangladesh after nearly 17 years, extensive preparations are visible in parts of the capital, particularly in the Purbachal 300 Feet area and Kuril Bishwa Road.

From early Thursday morning, leaders and activists of the BNP from various districts gathered in the area, creating a festive and crowded atmosphere around the planned programme sites.

To ensure emergency medical support, 17 ambulances have been deployed in and around the assembly areas, including major intersections at Kuril Bishwa Road, sources said.

The ambulances are clearly marked as emergency health service units for Tarique Rahman’s homecoming and are equipped with basic medical supplies. Medical teams have been assigned to each vehicle to provide on-the-spot treatment if needed.

An ambulance driver said the units were prepared in advance to deal with any sudden illness among participants and to transport patients to the nearest hospitals when necessary.

Security arrangements have also been reinforced to maintain order and ensure smooth movement in the area.
