19,28,181 candidates set to appear in SSC, equivalent exams
A total of 19,28,181 candidates are set to appear for the SSC and equivalent exams starting on April 10, 2025. This marks a decrease of nearly one lakh candidates compared to last year, which had 20,24,192 participants.
The Inter-Education Board provided this information on Sunday (March 16) during a meeting of the National Monitoring and Law and Order Committee for SSC and equivalent exams, held at the Ministry of Education.
According to the Ministry of Education, in 2025, a total of 14,90,142 candidates will appear under the nine general education boards. Of them, 7,01,538 are male and 7,88,604 are female. There will be 2,291 exam centers and 18,084 institutions.
Under the Bangladesh Madrasa Education Board, the total number of candidates is 2,94,726, with 1,50,893 male candidates and 1,43,833 female candidates. There will be 725 exam centers and 9,063 institutions.
Under the Bangladesh Technical Education Board, a total of 1,43,313 candidates will appear, with 1,08,385 male candidates and 34,928 female candidates.
