1st meeting of special committee of parliament today

The first meeting of the special committee formed by the 13th National Parliament is scheduled to be held on Tuesday (March 24). According to a press release from the National Parliament Secretariat, the meeting will begin at 11am in the Cabinet Room of the National Parliament Building. Speaker Major (Retd.) Hafiz Uddin Ahmed will preside over the meeting.

This special committee was formed on March 15 under the chairmanship of the Speaker, which is being considered an important step for the parliament. The committee has been given the responsibility of reviewing a total of 133 ordinances issued on various issues during the interim government.

The committee will examine these ordinances and make recommendations for a decision on which ones will remain in force and which ones will be repealed. After the review, the issues will be discussed in detail within the committee and a final decision will be taken later.
