2 more deaths from dengue, 1,232 admitted to hospital in one day
The Directorate General of Health Services has reported that two more persons have died after being infected with dengue in the last 24 hours in the country. In the same period 1,232 persons have been admitted to hospital for treatment.
This information has been given in the report published by the Directorate General of Health Services on Saturday (September 19). It has been said that the two persons who died of dengue in the last one day are both residents of Dhaka South City Corporation area.
According to the calculation of the Directorate General of Health Services, a total of 178 persons have so far died in the country after being infected with dengue this year. In the same period 60,379 persons have been admitted to hospital after being infected.
Among the 1,232 patients newly admitted in the last 24 hours there are also a significant number of patients in various hospitals of Dhaka. Along with the capital there is also pressure of dengue patients in hospitals of various regions of the country.
With the increase in the number of dengue infected the number of patients under treatment in hospitals is also increasing. In this situation the concerned are giving importance on taking quick advice of doctors if fever and dengue symptoms appear as well as destroying mosquito breeding places and protection from mosquito bites.
According to the regular information of the Directorate General of Health Services, along with deaths the number of patients admitted to hospital after being infected is also continuously increasing in the dengue situation of the current year. As a result the necessity of coordinated initiatives of the concerned authorities along with personal caution is increasing further in dengue control.
