2027 SSC, equivalent exams to begin March 14, end April 15

The 2027 Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations will begin on March 14 next year and conclude on April 15, the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee said on Monday (August 24).

Dhaka Education Board Chairman and committee president Prof Syed Akhtaruzzaman confirmed the schedule, saying there would be no further scope to defer the examinations.

“There's no opportunity to postpone the exams again. They will be completed within the scheduled timeframe,” he said.

The examinations were initially planned to begin in January. However, the schedule was revised considering the Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr holidays in 2027, with the authorities deciding to shift the exams to March.

The committee said preparations for the examinations would be completed according to the revised timeline. The detailed examination routine and other instructions will be announced later.

Earlier, Education Minister Dr A N M Ehsanul Haque Milan had said the 2027 SSC and equivalent examinations would begin on January 7. The decision was later reconsidered by the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee.
