20-member high-level BNP delegation to visit China

A 20-member high-level delegation of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) is set to visit China at the invitation of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

The delegation will be led by BNP Secretary General and Local Government Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.

According to diplomatic sources, the delegation will leave Dhaka for China on April 16 and return home on April 21. During the visit, the BNP delegation will hold discussions with Li, Minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China, in Beijing on cooperation and exchange of experiences.

This is the first high-level foreign visit of BNP at the invitation of a friendly country after the formation of the government led by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman. Most of the participants in the visit are newly elected members of the parliament.
