22 senior police officials transferred, reassigned

The government has transferred and reassigned 22 senior police officials in a major reshuffle across different units, ranges and training establishments.

The changes were announced in separate notifications issued Tuesday (September 22) by the Police-1 branch of the Public Security Division under the Ministry of Home Affairs. The orders, signed by Deputy Secretary Tousif Ahmed, take effect immediately.

Mohammad Enamul Haque, additional police commissioner (supernumerary) in Sylhet, has been appointed additional deputy inspector general (DIG) of the APBN and Specialised Training Centre in Khagrachhari.

DIG Paritosh Ghosh, meanwhile, has been transferred to the APBN office for the hill districts as DIG.

Habibur Rahman Khan, DIG of Highway Police in Dhaka, has been transferred as commandant (DIG) of the TDS in Dhaka. Additional DIG Mohammad Anisur Rahman of the Special Branch has been posted to the office of the DIG of Khulna Range.

Additional DIG Md Gias Uddin Ahmed, who was serving as an officer on special duty at the Home Ministry, has been attached to the office of the DIG of Rangpur Range. Similarly, OSD Superintendent of Police Mohammad Jasim Uddin has been attached to the office of the DIG of Rajshahi Range as SP.

The reshuffle also includes Fatihah Yasmin, Monalisa Begum, Zahidul Islam, Abu Hasan, Muhammad Rahmat Ullah, Muhammad Matiur Rahman Siddiqui, Sharmin Akter, Aminul Islam, Asma Akhter, Nasir Uddin Zubayer, Shahriar Bin Saleh, Tofail Ahmed, Sazzadur Rahman Rasel, Merina Akter, Mohammad Mahyul Islam and Mohammad Mahiuddin Ahmed, who have been given new assignments in various police units, ranges and training centres.
