25,408 absent, 6 expelled on first day of SSC exams
A total of 25,408 examinees were absent and six were expelled across the country on the first day of the SSC and equivalent examinations. The Inter-Education Board Co-ordination Committee provided this information on Tuesday afternoon.
According to a document signed by committee chairman Professor Dr Khandokar Ehsanul Kabir, a total of 15,09,006 examinees were scheduled to take the SSC, Dakhil and Vocational exams, but 14,83,598 were present. The exams were held at 3,875 centres nationwide.
On the first day, SSC candidates took Bangla First Paper, Dakhil candidates took Quran Majid and Tajwid, and Vocational candidates took Bangla-2.
Board-wise, among 11,34,853 registered examinees across nine SSC boards, 11,890 were absent and two were expelled. In the Madrasa board, out of 2,54,903 examinees, 11,211 were absent and four were expelled. In the Technical board, out of 1,19,250 examinees, 2,307 were absent, and one invigilator was also expelled from this board.
