271 new dengue patients hospitalised in 24 hours

A total of 271 new dengue patients have been hospitalised across the country in the last 24 hours, according to the regular dengue bulletin published by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Sunday, July 5. No deaths were reported during this period.

According to the bulletin, among the new patients, 57 were admitted to hospitals in the two Dhaka city corporation areas, 45 in other districts of Dhaka division, 63 in Barishal division, 30 in Chattogram division, 63 in Khulna division, 7 in Mymensingh division, 4 in Rajshahi division, and 2 in Sylhet division.

During the same period, 274 dengue patients were discharged from hospitals after recovery.

According to the health directorate's data, a total of 6,872 dengue patients have been hospitalised across the country since January 1 this year. Among them, 6,404 have recovered and returned home.
