3 more die with measles symptoms, death toll rises to 928
Three more people have died with measles symptoms across the country in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths from measles and its symptoms since March 15 to 928, according to a report released by the Directorate General of Health Services on Friday (August 21).
The report said 940 new patients have been hospitalised with measles or its symptoms in the last 24 hours. Of them, 64 have been confirmed with measles, while 876 are showing symptoms.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services, among the 928 deaths from measles and its symptoms since March 15, 99 have been confirmed measles cases.
During this period, the total number of suspected measles cases across the country has reached 147,591. So far, 18,208 people have been confirmed with measles.
