Airspace across several Middle Eastern countries remains closed following Iran's retaliatory strikes in response to US-Israeli aggression. The ongoing tensions have affected Bangladesh as well. A total of 38 Middle East-bound flights have been cancelled until Tuesday afternoon, March 3.
The Civil Aviation Authority confirmed the matter in a statement. The cancelled flights from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport include those bound for Sharjah, Riyadh, Bahrain, Dubai and Doha.
The list of affected flights includes four each from Qatar Airways, Emirates, Gulf Air (Bahrain), Fly Dubai, and Jazeera Airways (Kuwait); two from Kuwait Airways; twelve from Air Arabia; and four from US-Bangla Airlines.
