39 police officers transferred

In a major reshuffle in the police department, the Home Ministry today transferred a total of 39 officers, including nine Deputy Inspectors General (DIGs) and 30 Superintendents of Police (SPs).

According to a notification of the Home Ministry signed by its Deputy Secretary Md Tausif Ahmed, current DIG Sylhet range Md Mushfequr Rahman has been transferred to the police headquarters as DIG while Commissioner of the Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) Md Zillur Rahman was made the DIG Sylhet range.

DIG of the Special Branch (SB) Md Fayezur Kabir was posted to the RMP as its Commissioner.

On the other hand, Commissioner of Barishal Metropolitan Police (BMP) Md Shafiqul Islam was posted to the Tourist Police as its DIG and DIG police headquarters Md Ashik Sayeed was made the Commissioner of the BMP.

Additional Commissioner of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) S N Nazrul Islam has been transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) as its DIG while DIG CID Md Abul Bashar Talukder was made Additional Commissioner of the DMP.

Another Additional Commissioner of the DMP, Sana Shaminur Rahman has been posted to the CID as its DIG and current DIG CID Mohammad Shamsul Haque was made Additional Commissioner of the DMP.

Besides, Dr Shahed Akbar Khan who has been backed to the police department from the post of Deputy Secretary was posted to the SB as its Special Superintendent (SS) while current SP at the 13th Armed Police Battalion (APBn) Dr Eliza Sharmin was posted to the police headquarters in its SP Training Reserve (TR) post.

Deputy Commission (DC) of the DMP Md Maksuder Rahman and SP APBn Kazi Akhtarul Alam have been transferred to the SB as its SS and DC DMP Md Morshed Alam and Mohammad Ahaduzzaman Miah have been posted to the Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) as its DC.

Besides, Additional Superintendent of Police of the APBn and newly promoted as supernumerary SP Sajedur Rahman has been posted to the DMP as its ADC.

The Home Ministry through another notification signed by the same officer today transferred 23 more SPs to new stations.

SP Panchagarh Md Rabiul Islam has been posted to the River police as its SP while SP at the 2nd APBn at Muktagachha has been made the SP Panchagarh.

SP Bandarban Md Abdur Rahman was transferred to the Rangpur Metrpolitan Police (RpMP) as its DC while SS of the SB Md Wahbul Islam has been made SP Bandarban.

SP Joypurhat Mina Mahmuda was posted to the DMP as its DC while SP Shahnaz Begum, attached to the office of the DIG Dhaka range has been made as SP Joypurhat.

SP Pabna Md Anwar Zahid has been transferred to the SB as its SS while SS SB Md Sufi Ullah has been mad as SP Pabna.

SP Nilphamary Sheikh Zahidul Islam was transferred to the DMP as its DC while at present SP Industrial Police Md Farhad Hossain Khan was made SP Nilphamary.

SP Narail Md Al Mamun Shikdar was transferred to the Industrial Police as its SP while DMP DC Mallik Ahsan Uddin Sami was posted to Narail as its SP.

SP Satkhira Md Arefin Juwel has been posted to the APBn as its SP while at present SP of Bangladesh Police Academy Sharda Abu Saleh Md Ashraful Alam has been made as SP Satkhira.

SP Chandpur Md Rabiul Hassan was posted to the DMP as its DC while SP Jhalkathi Md Mizanur Rahman has been made as SP Chandpur.

SP CID Prottus Kumar Majumder has been made SP Jhalkathi while at present SP Moulvi Bazar Mohammad Billal Hossain was transferred to the River Police as it’s SP.

DC RMP Md Riazul Islam has been posted to Moulvi Bazar as its SP while SP Chhattogram Md Nazir Ahmed Khan has been transferred to the APBn as its SP.

DC DMP Md Masud Alam has been made as the SP Chhattogram and SP Feni Md Shafiqul Islam has been transferred to the police headquarters as its Assistant Inspector General (AIG) and DC Chhattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) Md Mahbub Alam Khan has been posted as SP Feni.

All the transferred officers have been instructed to join their new stations as early as possible.
