4,000 ASIs to be recruited before election: Mokhlesur Rahman

Public Administration Secretary Dr. Md. Mokhlesur Rahman on Wednesday announced that 4,000 Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs) will be recruited ahead of the upcoming national election. Of these, 50 percent will be direct recruits, while the remaining will be appointed through promotions.

Speaking to journalists, Dr. Rahman said there is no uncertainty surrounding the election. “Based on the experiences of the last three national polls, the field administration will be reorganized and prepared accordingly,” he stated.

He emphasized that all government officials must remain neutral during the election process. “Clear instructions will be given to ensure that no official shows bias toward any political party. However, these measures will be implemented by the Election Commission after the election schedule is officially announced,” he added.
