5 more children die from measles in 24 hours

Five children have died from suspected measles across the country in the last 24 hours, according to a press release from the DGHS on Friday, June 5.

No confirmed measles deaths were reported during this period. From March 15 to June 5, a total of 519 people have died from suspected measles, while 91 have died from confirmed measles.

The number of suspected measles patients in the last 24 hours stood at 1,168. From March 15 to June 5, the total number of suspected measles patients has reached 76,876.

Confirmed measles cases in the last 24 hours stood at 243. From March 15 to June 5, the total number of confirmed measles patients has reached 9,503.

A total of 62,287 suspected measles patients have been admitted to hospitals from March 15 to June 5. During the same period, 58,154 patients have recovered and been discharged.
