5 more children die of measles symptoms, total death toll 810
Five more children have died of measles symptoms in the country in the last 24 hours. However, no confirmed measles deaths have occurred during this period. In total, a total of 810 people have died of measles and measles symptoms since March 15 this year.
This information was given in the latest situation report published by the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services on Friday (July 24).
According to the report, five people died of measles symptoms from 8am on Thursday to 8am on Friday. With this, the number of deaths due to measles symptoms has increased to 715. On the other hand, the number of confirmed measles deaths remains unchanged at 95.
In the last 24 hours, 187 new confirmed measles cases have been identified. At the same time, 950 more people have been identified with measles symptoms.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services, a total of 1 lakh 4 thousand 717 people have been admitted to hospitals with measles symptoms since March 15. Of them, 101,056 have recovered and left the hospital.
