5 more deaths due to measles symptoms in 24 hours

In the last 24 hours, 5 more people have died with measles symptoms in the country. During the same period, 1,009 new cases of measles and its symptoms have been identified.

This information was revealed in the Directorate General of Health Services’ regular measles report on Thursday (June 18).

The report states that from March 15 to 8am on June 18, a total of 666 people have died with measles symptoms across the country.

During the same period, measles and its symptoms have been found in a total of 89,904 people. Of these, 10,773 have been confirmed as measles cases.

According to the Directorate General of Health Services, a total of 74,184 patients have been admitted to hospitals across the country during this time. Of them, 70,503 have recovered and been discharged from hospitals.

Health experts say that due to the rapid spread of infection, it is essential to keep the situation under surveillance. Emphasis is being placed on separate treatment management for affected and symptomatic patients and on strengthening vaccination campaigns.


Meanwhile, the Directorate General of Health Services is monitoring the situation and providing regular updates.
