53,069 applications for heads of private educational institutions

A massive number of applications have been submitted for positions of institution heads and assistant heads at private MPO-affiliated educational institutions across the country. A total of 53,069 applications have been received for 12,951 vacant posts.

Chairman of the Non-Government Teachers' Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) Md Aminul Islam disclosed the information at a press conference at the NTRCA office conference room at 10:30 am on Tuesday, April 7.

He said the recruitment test will be held on April 18. Applications have been submitted for 11,151 posts of institution heads and assistant heads at MPO-affiliated educational institutions.

Among these, 7,908 applications were submitted for institutions under the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education, 112 for institutions under the Directorate of Technical Education, and 3,131 for institutions under the Madrasa Education Directorate.

The NTRCA chairman said a notification titled '8th NTRCA Recruitment Test-2026 (Revised)' was published on March 25. A total of 53,069 candidates applied under that notification.

Among the applicants, 47,351 are male and 5,718 are female.

He further said subsequent stages of the recruitment process are actively ongoing after the test. He also said recruitment activities will be completed twice a year to address the teacher shortage in private educational institutions.
