6 more die with measles symptoms, 1,063 new cases detected

Six people died with measles symptoms across the country in the last 24 hours. During the same period, 1,305 people were newly infected with suspected and confirmed measles.

The information was provided in a press release sent from the Directorate General of Health Services control room on Monday, September 21.

It said the number of patients identified with measles symptoms in the last 24 hours was 1,221, while the total number of measles patients from March 15 to September 20 was 181,035.

The number of confirmed measles patients in the last 24 hours was 84, while the total number of confirmed measles patients from March 15 to September 20 was 20,646.

From March 15 to September 20, a total of 159,804 people were hospitalised with measles symptoms.

During the same period, 153,448 people recovered and were discharged from hospitals.

Six people died with measles symptoms in the last 24 hours, and a total of 962 children died with measles symptoms from March 15 to September 20.

No one died from confirmed measles in the last 24 hours, while 101 people died from confirmed measles from March 15 to September 20.
