6 senior police officials dismissed over job abandonment

The government has dismissed six police officials, including former Superintendent of Police of Dhaka district Asaduzzaman, on charges of abandoning their jobs.

The information was conveyed in separate notifications from the Ministry of Home Affairs on Monday, September 21. Senior Secretary of the ministry Monjur Morshed Chowdhury signed them.

The notifications stated that the order will take effect immediately.

The separate notifications said former Superintendent of Police Arifur Rahman Mondal, former Additional Deputy Police Commissioner of Secretariat Security Rajib Das, former Additional DIG Mohammad Zayedul Alam, former Superintendent of Police of ATU Mohammad Chanowar Hossain, former Additional Superintendent of Police Palash Ranjan De and former Superintendent of Police of Dhaka Asaduzzaman have been dismissed.
