Welcoming the initiative, Attorney General Md Ruhul Quddus Kajal said the case backlog has long been a major challenge for Bangladesh's judiciary. This initiative to swiftly dispose of old cases will not only end the prolonged wait for justice seekers but also strengthen public confidence in the judiciary. He particularly praised the disposal of nearly 5,500 criminal misc cases in a single day.

The Attorney General thanked Chief Justice Jubayer Rahman Chowdhury, all concerned judges of the High Court Division and the Supreme Court administration for this timely initiative.
