7 more children die of measles symptoms in 24 hours, 1295 infected

Directorate General of Health Services has informed that 7 more children have died of measles and measles symptoms in the last 24 hours in the country. Among them one has died of confirmed measles and six of measles symptoms. In the same period 1,295 children have been infected with measles and measles symptoms.

This information has been given in the press release published by the Directorate General of Health Services on Tuesday (October 27). According to the notice, these deaths and infections occurred from 8am on Monday (October 26) to 8am on Tuesday.

According to the information of the Directorate General of Health Services, from March 15 last until Tuesday a total of 1,240 children have died of measles and measles symptoms in the country. Among them 1,135 have died of measles symptoms and 105 children of confirmed measles.

Among the newly infected in the last 24 hours, there are 1,232 suspected measles patients. Besides, measles has been detected in the bodies of 63. Altogether 1,295 children have been infected with measles and measles symptoms in this period.

The notice has further informed that from March 15 last until Tuesday 1,99,127 people have been admitted to hospital with suspected measles. Among them 1,91,090 have left the hospital after recovery.

According to the information of the Directorate General of Health Services, from March 15 of the current year until now measles symptoms have appeared in 2,23,784 people in the country. In this period measles has been detected in the bodies of 23,541 people.
