7 police officials including additional DIG transferred

Multiple key positions in the police administration have seen changes. The transfers were ordered on Monday, April 6, through separate office orders signed by Inspector General of Police Ali Hossain Fakir.

According to the orders, Additional Deputy Inspector General (Additional DIG) Rayhan Uddin Khan has been transferred to the Personal Management-1 branch of Police Headquarters. Additional DIG Khondkar Shamima Yasmin, currently serving in Personal Management-1, has been moved to the Repair and Maintenance branch.

Several officials have also been transferred within Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP). Additional Deputy Commissioner Abdul Kader of the Secretariat Security Division has been transferred to the Detective Branch (DB) Tejgaon division of DMP.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Md Khalid Borhan of DMP's Procurement and Maintenance division has been sent to the Traffic division.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Amena Akhter of DMP has been given responsibilities in the Public Order Management (POM) West division.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Sharmin Akhter Chumki of the POM West division has been transferred to the Secretariat Security Division.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Arit Sarkar of DMP has been transferred to the Procurement and Maintenance division.

A source at Police Headquarters said the transfers were made to bring dynamism to administrative activities and enhance official efficiency.
