8 more children die with measles symptoms

Eight more people died with measles symptoms across the country in the last 24 hours, according to a press release of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) control room issued today.

According to the release, 1,109 patients with measles symptoms were identified in the last 24 hours while the total number of patients with measles symptoms reached 195,197 from March 15 to October 3.

In the last 24 hours, 43 confirmed measles cases were reported, bringing the total number of confirmed measles cases to 21,666 since March 15.

A total of 173,024 patients with measles symptoms were admitted to different hospitals from March 15 to October 3. During the same period, 167,756 patients recovered and were discharged from the hospitals.

Eight people died with measles symptoms in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of deaths with measles symptoms to 1,020 since March 15.

No one died of confirmed measles in the last 24 hours. From March 15 to October 3, 102 people have died of confirmed measles.
