8 police officials transferred

Eight officials holding the ranks of Additional Superintendent of Police and Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) serving in various units of Bangladesh Police have been transferred. The transfer order was issued on Monday (August 3) through a notification signed by Additional DIG Raihan Uddin Khan of the Personnel Management-1 Division of Police Headquarters.

The officials transferred are: Sheikh Md Selim, Additional Superintendent of Police at Police Headquarters currently serving as Additional Superintendent of Police (Navy Police), has been transferred as Additional Deputy Commissioner of Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP); Mahbubur Rahman, Additional Superintendent of Police of Gazipur district, transferred to Narsingdi; Mohammad Rabiul Islam of Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) transferred to Chattogram District Police; ASP of RAB, Swapna Begum, transferred to Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP); Bimal Chandra Barman, ASP (Operations) of Madaripur, transferred to Debiganj circle of Panchagarh district; Md Azam Khan, ASP of Faridpur's Madhukhali circle, transferred as ASP at the DIG's office in Khulna Range.

Additionally, Md Jamal Uddin Chowdhury, Assistant Commissioner (AC) of Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP), has been transferred to Maheshkhali circle in Cox's Bazar; and SM Masuduzzaman, ASP of Industrial Police, has been transferred to Faridpur's Madhukhali circle.

The notification also stated that the officials must hand over charge at their current workplaces by August 17. If not, they will be relieved with immediate effect from August 18.
