9 police officers transferred

The government has transferred and posted nine police officers of Additional Superintendent of Police and Assistant Superintendent of Police rank. The order, signed by Additional DIG Rayhan Uddin Khan on Tuesday, June 2, stated that the transfers were made in public interest until further notice.

Among those transferred, Additional SP of Khagrachhari Muhammad Shahadat Hossain has been posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner of DMP. Additional SP of Gopalganj Mohammad Ziaul Haque has been transferred as Additional Deputy Commissioner of Gazipur Metropolitan Police.

Additional SP Mahmudul Hasan, currently serving at Police Headquarters, has been posted to Gazipur In-Service Training Centre. Additional SP Asif Iqbal of Khulna Range DIG office has been transferred to Police Headquarters (TR post).

Additional SP of Habiganj Sadar Circle, Md Shahidul Haque Munshi, has been posted as Additional SP of Naval Police. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Gazipur Metropolitan Police Rabiul Islam has been transferred to APBN. Another Additional Deputy Commissioner of the same unit, Amrito Sutradhar, has been posted to APBN and Specialised Training Centre in Khagrachhari.

Assistant SP Amiruzzaman, currently serving in RAB, has been transferred to Special Branch. Assistant Police Commissioner of Gazipur Metropolitan Police, Md Deen-e-Al, has been posted as Assistant SP of Railway Police.

The order said the officials must hand over charge at their current workplaces and join their new postings by June 15; otherwise, they will be treated as on stand release from June 16.
