Abdur Rashid Mia appointed as chief engineer of LGED

Md. Abdur Rashid Mia, previously serving as the Additional Chief Engineer at the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED), has been appointed Chief Engineer of the oorganization

Prior to this appointment, he served as the Additional Chief Engineer (Grade-3), overseeing the Human Resource Development, Quality Control, and Environment Unit.

The Local Government Division issued an official notification on Tuesday (February 4) confirming his appointment.

As per the notification, this acting position is initially valid for six months. If an extension is needed beyond this period, approval must be obtained from the relevant promotion committee or board before the term ends.

The notification also clarifies that this acting role will not be considered a promotion. Additionally, holding this position does not confer any priority or rights for future transfers or promotions to this or any other role.
