The government has appointed Md Abdus Sattar Patwari as Research Officer to the Prime Minister on a contractual basis. The Ministry of Public Administration issued a gazette notification regarding the appointment on Thursday. According to the notification, Sattar Patwari will have to relinquish any other profession, business, or employment in any government, semi-government, or private organization or institution. The appointment will take effect from the date of his joining and will remain valid either for the tenure of the Prime Minister or until the Prime Minister’s satisfaction, whichever comes first. Other terms and conditions of the appointment will be governed by the contract, the notification added.

মো. আবদুস সাত্তার পাটোয়ারীকে প্রধানমন্ত্রীর গবেষণা কর্মকর্তা পদে চুক্তিভিত্তিক নিয়োগ দিয়েছে সরকার। এ বিষয়ে জনপ্রশাসন মন্ত্রণালয়ের চুক্তি ও বৈদেশিক নিয়োগ শাখা থেকে প্রজ্ঞাপন জারি করা হয়েছে। বৃহস্পতিবার (১৯ ফেব্রুয়ারি) মন্ত্রণালয়ের উপসচিব মোহাম্মদ নূর-এ আলম স্বাক্ষরিত প্রজ্ঞাপনে জানানো হয়, এ পদে দায়িত্ব পালনের জন্য তাকে অন্য কোনো পেশা, ব্যবসা কিংবা সরকারি, আধা-সরকারি বা বেসরকারি প্রতিষ্ঠানের সঙ্গে কর্মসম্পর্ক ত্যাগ করতে হবে। প্রজ্ঞাপন অনুযায়ী, গ্রেড-৯ বেতন স্কেলের সর্বশেষ ধাপে তিনি বেতন-ভাতা পাবেন। যোগদানের তারিখ থেকে প্রধানমন্ত্রীর মেয়াদকাল বা প্রধানমন্ত্রীর সন্তুষ্টি—যেটি আগে ঘটবে—সেই পর্যন্ত এই চুক্তিভিত্তিক নিয়োগ বহাল থাকবে। নিয়োগসংক্রান্ত অন্যান্য শর্ত চুক্তিপত্রে নির্ধারিত হবে।
