ACC, TIB sign 5-year MoU to strengthen anti-corruption initiatives
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) and Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) have signed a five-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to accelerate anti-corruption efforts in the country.
The MoU was signed on Wednesday morning at the ACC headquarters, with Director General (Prevention) Md. Akhtar Hossain signing on behalf of the ACC and Executive Director Dr. Iftekharuzzaman representing TIB.
ACC Chairman Dr. Mohammad Abdul Momen, Commissioner (Investigation) Brigadier General (Retd.) Hafiz Ahsan Farid, Secretary Mohammad Khaled Rahim, and senior officials from both organizations attended the ceremony.
Under the agreement, the ACC and TIB will jointly work to raise public awareness on corruption, improve ethical standards, promote procedural excellence, and carry out research, training, and outreach programs.
This is the fifth MoU between the two organizations. Their cooperation began with a two-year MoU in May 2015, followed by agreements in 2017, 2019, and 2022. The new five-year MoU will remain in effect from 1 October 2025 to 30 September 2030.
