Ad-Din Hospital must reply to show-cause notice by tomorrow: Health Minister

Ad-Din Hospital must submit its response to the show-cause notice by Sunday evening, explaining why its licence should not be revoked, Health Minister Sardar Md Sakhawat Hossain has said. Legal action will be taken according to the law if the reply is not satisfactory.

The minister made the remarks during a briefing on the progress of the health sector at his Mintoo Road residence on Saturday afternoon, June 6.

Regarding dengue prevention, the minister said awareness processions were held across the country until 10:00 am. Cleanliness drives and public awareness campaigns were carried out in Dhaka, starting from Rabindra Sarani, as well as in district towns nationwide. Necessary medicines for treating dengue patients are also ready.

The minister also said an additional one lakh saline sachets will be available at the Secretariat at 10:30 am tomorrow. Previously, one lakh saline sachets arrived from abroad free of cost, bringing the total stock to two lakh. This saline will play an important role in treating dengue patients. Efforts are also underway to procure more saline within the next week.
