The Directorate of Health Education has ordered that students and interns dependent on Ad-Din Hospital be attached to other hospitals for training due to the cancellation of their license. A letter in this regard has already been issued, which is expected to reach the Ad-Din Women's Medical College authorities on Sunday (June 14).

Additional Director General (Medical Education) of the Directorate of Health Education, Professor Dr. Rubina Yasmin, confirmed the matter to the media.

According to Section 6 of the Private Medical Colleges and Dental Colleges Act, 2022, having its own hospital is a mandatory condition for running a medical college.

According to the medical curriculum, clinical training of students starts from the third year and after completing MBBS, they have to complete a one-year internship.

After the cancellation of the hospital's license, there is uncertainty about the practical training and future of the students of Ad-Din Women's Medical College.

Professor Rubina Yasmin said, "Even though the hospital's license has been canceled, the college is not closing. Students have been instructed to be attached to another hospital for training. The college will have to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with any general hospital and send students there. The Department of Health Education will have to be informed about this within the next three working days." However, sources said that although there is usually an opportunity to attach with a government or private general hospital or medical college hospital, this time the religious institution may have to sign an agreement with a private hospital.
