Advance train ticket sales for Eid-ul-Fitr to begin March 3

Bangladesh Railway will begin selling advance tickets for Eid-ul-Fitr train travel on Tuesday (March 3).

Seven-day advance tickets for intercity trains will be available online, with western region train tickets opening at 8:00am and eastern region tickets at 2:00pm daily.

The move aims to ensure smooth travel for passengers during the busy Eid period.

The schedule for ticket sales is as follows:

March 13: tickets from March 3

March 14: tickets from March 4

March 15: tickets from March 5

March 16: tickets from March 6

March 17: tickets from March 7

March 18: tickets from March 8

March 19: tickets from March 9

Tickets for March 20–22 will be released based on moon sighting. Non-AC standing tickets will also be available, with 25 per cent reserved for collection from the starting station before departure.

Passengers can buy a maximum of four seats per booking. All tickets are non-refundable.
