Advance train tickets for June 2 Eid return journey on sale today

Bangladesh Railway has begun selling advance intercity train tickets for passengers returning to their workplaces after Eid-ul-Azha.

As part of the special arrangement, tickets for journeys on June 2 are being sold today, Saturday (May 23).

According to railway authorities, ticket sales for trains operating in the western region began at 8:00am, while tickets for eastern region trains will go on sale from 2:00pm. Like previous Eid operations, all tickets are being sold online to ensure smoother service for passengers.

Under the railway’s Eid travel plan, tickets for May 31 journeys were sold on May 21, while tickets for June 1 journeys were sold on May 22. Tickets for June 3 and June 4 journeys will be available on May 24 and May 25 respectively.

Bangladesh Railway also said that tickets purchased during the Eid travel period will not be refundable. Each passenger will be allowed to purchase a maximum of four seats in a single transaction.

However, the names of accompanying passengers must be provided while purchasing more than one ticket, it said.
