After 17 years, we can freely commemorate Ziaur Rahman: Mirza Fakhrul
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has expressed satisfaction at being able to observe the martyrdom anniversary of martyred President Ziaur Rahman in a relaxed atmosphere after a long time. He said, after 17 years, we got an opportunity to freely remember the leader.
He told reporters after paying homage at Ziaur Rahman's tomb on the occasion of his 45th martyrdom anniversary on Saturday (May 30).
At the time, Mirza Fakhrul said, for 17 long years, due to various obstacles, it was not possible to observe this day normally. This time, there is an opportunity to remember the leader much more freely.
The BNP Secretary General said, Ziaur Rahman laid the foundation of modernity and good governance in the governance of Bangladesh. His philosophy for the development and progress of the country is still equally relevant and worth following.
Mirza Fakhrul further mentioned that Tarique Rahman is moving forward by following the ideals and guidance of Ziaur Rahman. As a party, BNP wants to remember this leader repeatedly and is working towards building the modern Bangladesh of his dream.
He said that the ongoing reform activities of the country are also being conducted in the light of Ziaur Rahman's national thought and development ideas. He expressed his determination to move forward by following the path shown by him in the future as well.
