Air Traffic Management Centre to be launched at Shahjalal airport
Bangladesh Civil Aviation Authority (CAAB) is going to launch a new Air Traffic Management Centre (ATMC) at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport to make air traffic management more modern and effective.
The centre will be inaugurated on Monday, April 20, said Muhammad Kausar Mahmud, Assistant Director of CAAB.
The inauguration ceremony will be held at 10:00 am on Monday at the new Air Traffic Management Centre located on the airport premises. Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Afroza Khanam will be present as chief guest.
CAAB said the launch of this new Air Traffic Management Centre will make flight operations safer, more coordinated and time-efficient. It will increase the use of modern technology in the country's aviation management and further strengthen alignment with international standards.
Civil Aviation and Tourism State Minister M Rashiduzzaman Millat and senior officials of CAAB are also expected to be present at the event.
