All custom houses to remain open this weekend

The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has announced that all custom houses across the country will remain open on Friday and Saturday (July 11 and 12) to maintain the steady flow of import and export activities.

A directive issued on Thursday (July 10) and signed by Md Raich Uddin Khan, first secretary of Customs Policy, confirmed the decision.

According to the directive, recent delays in import-export clearance have caused disruptions in trade operations. To address the backlog and ensure smooth business activities, the government has opted to keep custom services operational over the weekend.

"All relevant custom houses have been instructed to take necessary steps to carry out import and export-related procedures during this time," the directive stated.
