All local government institutions told to ensure digital attendance
The government has taken an initiative to introduce a modern digital attendance system at all institutions under the Local Government Division. The move is aimed at ensuring the presence of government officials and employees.
To this end, the Local Government Division has directed all city corporation administrators, mayors of municipalities and chairmen of union parishads across the country to take necessary measures to install digital attendance machines equipped with face recognition, fingerprint and cloud-based online dashboard features .
Recently, a letter to this effect was issued from the Municipal-1 Branch of the Local Government Division under the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives.
The letter stated that in light of the decision of the Cabinet Division, necessary measures must be taken to complete registration under the modern digital attendance management system for all officials and employees, including senior officials of the Local Government Division.
Under the new attendance system, officials and employees will be identified through face recognition and fingerprint technology .
Additionally, attendance information can be stored and monitored through a cloud-based online dashboard .
The government hopes this will enhance transparency and accountability in managing the attendance of officials and employees. Letters have been sent to the concerned parties to take necessary measures in this regard.
