Anisul Huq, Faruk Khan among 7 others shown arrested in fresh cases

Former Law Minister Anisul Huq, former Aviation Minister Faruk Khan, and seven others have been shown arrested in connection with eight separate cases filed across six police stations in the capital.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Sharifur Rahman issued the arrest order on Wednesday after the police brought the accused to court from prison. The investigating officers then requested their arrest, and the court approved the request.

Other new accused in these cases include former IGP of Police Abdullah Al Mamun, former Jhalokathi-1 Member of Parliament Shahjahan Omar, Trinamool BNP leader Shamsher Mobin Chowdhury, former military officer Ziaul Ahsan, Jatiya Party Presidium member Golam Kibria Titu, former Senior Secretary Mohibul Haque, and Bangladesh Peoples Party Chairman Babul Sardar.
