Appointment of PM's speech writer, 3 deputy press secretaries
S A M Mahfuzur Rahman, editor of news agency UNB, has been appointed as the Prime Minister's Speech Writer. In addition, journalists Mostafa Zulfikar Hasan (Hasan Shiplu), Md. Sujauddaullah and Md. Zahidul Islam have been appointed as the Prime Minister's Deputy Press Secretaries.
Four separate notifications were issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Monday (March 2).
The notification for the appointment of the Prime Minister's Speech Writer said that S A M Mahfuzur Rahman has been given a contractual appointment from the date of joining the Grade-1 post on the condition of renouncing any other profession, business or employment relationship with government, semi-government and private organizations for the duration of the Prime Minister's tenure or subject to his satisfaction—whichever occurs earlier.
The notification for the appointment of the three Deputy Press Secretaries states that they have been appointed on a contractual basis for the term of the Prime Minister or at his satisfaction from the date of joining at the last step of the Grade-4 pay scale, subject to the condition of renouncing any other profession or employment relationship with any other institution. The notification also states that other terms and conditions of these appointments will be determined by the contract.
