Asif Mahmud to register as voter in Dhaka-10

Adviser to the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives, Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuiya will register as a voter in Dhaka-10 constituency.

According to a notice issued on Sunday morning (November 9) from the ministry’s public relations office, he will submit his voter registration at the Dhaka-10 (Dhanmondi) election office at 3.00pm.

Dhaka-10 covers Dhanmondi, New Market, Kalabagan, and Hazaribagh areas.

While BNP has yet to announce a candidate, Jamaat-e-Islami has nominated Supreme Court lawyer Jasim Uddin Sarkar.

Previously, Asif Mahmud was registered in Cumilla-3 (Muradnagar). His shift to Dhaka-10 fuels speculation that he may contest the upcoming election from this seat, especially amid talks of seat-sharing with BNP.
