Attorney General Asaduzzaman announces resignation

The chief law officer of the state, Attorney General Md Asaduzzaman, has announced his resignation from the post to contest in the National Parliamentary Election.

He made the announcement at a press conference held in the conference room of the Attorney General’s Office on Wednesday, November 5, after the hearing of the appeal regarding the reinstatement of the caretaker government.

Regarding his participation in the election, he said, “I have sought nomination from the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). I am hopeful that I will get the nomination. If nominated, I will contest in the upcoming election from Jhenaidah-1 constituency under the banner of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party, BNP.”
