Bangladesh’s state-run overseas recruitment agency began accepting applications on Friday for 112 skilled male workers to be sent to Malaysia without any migration costs.

Bangladesh Overseas Employment and Services Limited (BOESL) said in a notice on Thursday that the workers would be hired as operations assistants at DHL Supply Chain (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. Applicants must be between 22 and 35 years old.

Selected workers will receive a basic monthly salary of 1,700 Malaysian ringgit on a three-year contract. They will work eight hours a day, six days a week. The employer will also provide overtime, accommodation, basic medical care and transport.

Applications can be submitted from 10 a.m. on Friday until 4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 8, through BOESL’s online portal at https://employee.oep.gov.bd/employee/registration.

Selection will take place in two stages. A software-based lottery will first shortlist 300 candidates. The employer will then conduct technical and oral tests and make the final selection of 112 workers.

BOESL said candidates will not have to pay any money at any stage of the recruitment. It urged those involved to avoid any financial transactions and advised applicants not to pay if anyone demands money, including brokers.
