Youth, Sports and Legal Adviser Asif Nazrul said that if the International Cricket Council (ICC) imposes any unreasonable conditions on Bangladesh under India's pressure, it will not be accepted in any way.

He made this comment while talking to reporters at the Secretariat on Tuesday (January 20).

The adviser said that if the ICC bows to the pressure of the Indian Cricket Board and imposes any unreasonable conditions on Bangladesh, then Bangladesh will not accept that condition. He made it clear that Bangladesh cannot be forced to go to India to play the T20 World Cup.

When asked about the report by the French news agency AFP that if Bangladesh does not go to India, Scotland will play in the World Cup, Asif Nazrul said that they have not received any official information in this regard. He reiterated that the main point is that if the ICC imposes unreasonable conditions on Bangladesh under Indian pressure, it will not be accepted.

Citing previous examples, he said that when India decided not to play in Pakistan, the ICC changed the venue. Similarly, Bangladesh has asked for a change of venue for a logical reason. He also commented that Bangladesh cannot be forced to play in India by creating unreasonable pressure.
