Bangladeshi adult film couple arrested in Bandarban

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has arrested a couple from Bandarban for allegedly producing and distributing obscene content linked to an international pornography website.

CID’s Special Superintendent of Police Jasim Uddin Khan confirmed the arrests on Monday morning, October 20.

According to the CID, the couple had been regularly creating and uploading adult videos to a foreign website. Their channel reportedly gained a top ranking among the world’s most popular adult platforms.

Investigations revealed that the couple produced, edited and published the videos entirely within Bangladesh, earning significant income from the activity. They also encouraged others to engage in similar acts, contributing to the formation of a local pornography production network.

Under the Pornography Control Act 2012 of Bangladesh, the production and distribution of pornographic material are criminal offences, carrying severe penalties for those found guilty.
