Najmun Nahar has made history by becoming the first Bangladeshi to visit 184 countries, proudly carrying the red and green flag across the globe. She is also the first Muslim woman in the world to achieve this remarkable feat. Her accomplishment stands as a moment of immense pride not just as a woman, but as a Bangladeshi.

Najmun Nahar's journey began in 2000 when she participated in the International Adventure Programme in India. A solo traveler, she has covered most countries by road, overcoming numerous challenges, dangers and life-threatening situations along the way.

She has raised awareness on critical global issues such as 'No War, Only Peace', 'Save the Planet' and 'Stop Child Marriage', helping to promote peace, awareness and unity worldwide.

Her journey is marked by a series of historic milestones. She reached her 100th country at Victoria Falls on the Zambia-Zimbabwe border in June 2018, her 150th country São Tomé and Príncipe in 2021, her 175th country in September 2024, and finally completed her 184th country with a visit to the Bahamas in December 2025.

Najmun Nahar has been equally successful in her academic life. She went to Sweden on a scholarship in 2006 and earned a master's degree from Lund University. Later, she earned another degree in Human Rights and Asia from Seoul National University in 2015. She currently works as a researcher, motivational speaker and goodwill ambassador for various international organisations, inspiring children and young people to dream big.

In recognition of her extraordinary contributions, Najmun Nahar has received numerous awards both at home and abroad. She received the prestigious 'Peace Torch Bearer Award' in the United States in 2019, an honour previously bestowed upon world-renowned figures such as Nelson Mandela, Mother Teresa and Mikhail Gorbachev.
