Bangladesh Bank’s server was reportedly faced technical
issues which resulted a problem in the settlement of inter-bank transactions. As
a result, the settlement of all clearing cheques settled on Monday (September
30) has been shut.

Shikha confirmed this information to the media on Tuesday (October 1).
She said there was a problem in cheque clearing due to a
technical error in the server of the central bank on Sunday. It was not
possible to clear the checks that arrived on Monday.
Hosne Ara Shikha said the central bank’s technical team is
working to resolve the server issue. The problem will be solved very soon.

বাংলাদেশ ব্যাংকের সার্ভারে কারিগরি ত্রুটির কারণে আন্তঃব্যাংক লেনদেন নিষ্পত্তিতে সমস্যা হয়েছে। ফলে সোমবারের (৩০ সেপ্টেম্বর) নিষ্পত্তিকৃত সব ক্লিয়ারিং চেকের সেটেলমেন্ট বাতিল করা হয়েছে। মঙ্গলবার (১ অক্টোবর) কেন্দ্রীয় ব্যাংকের নির্বাহী পরিচালক ও মুখপাত্র হোসনে আরা শিখা গণমাধ্যমে এ তথ্য নি‌শ্চিত ক‌রে‌ছেন। তিনি বলেন, গতকাল কেন্দ্রীয় ব্যাংকের সার্ভারের কারিগরি ত্রুটির কারণে চেক ক্লিয়ারিংয়ের সমস্যা হয়েছে। এতে সোমবার যে চেকগু‌লো এসেছিলো তা ক্লিয়ারিং করা সম্ভব হয়‌নি। হোসনে আরা শিখা বলেন, সার্ভারের সমস্যা সমাধানে কেন্দ্রীয় ব্যাংকের কারিগরি টিম কাজ করছে। খুব শিগগিরই সমস্যার সমাধান হয়ে যাবে।
